The Ice on Whyte Festival opens on January's a fabulous winter event held in the heart of Old Strathcona! Come down and marvel at the elaborate ice carvings sculpted by world renowned ice carving artists. Expect entertainment, winter activities, food, drink...and FUN.

The Festival Runs: Thursdays to Sundays, January 24 - 27 & January 31 - February 3, 2019, at the corner of Gateway Blvd. and Whyte Avenue. 
This year the Canada Cup of ice carving is being held at Ice on Whyte!

Festival Hours:
Thursday & Friday: 2:00PM to 10:00PM
Saturday & Sunday: 10:00AM to 10:00PM 

What's happening at the festival?
  • Canada Cup, International Ice Carving Competition – one of three in Canada.
  • Ice Carving lessons for kids and adults.
  • An Ice Bar featuring locally crafted beverages by Situation Brewing, Rig Hand Craft Distillery, Strathcona Spirits and Hansen Distillery.
